F rom The Oppenheim Group comes its top gun and Selling Sunset's very own duo, Jason Oppenheim and Mary Bonnet, announced to co-host The Hollywood Reporter's preeminent L.A. Power Broker Awards. Organized by The Society Group, a luxury real estate PR firm each year, this years ceremony is set to take place at the iconic Hotel Bel-Air on September 17. This evening will recognize THR's Top 35 List of best sellers in the real estate industry, which plays an important role in recognizing honors bestowed on the industry's elite performers. But that is not all-the evening will also include an awards ceremony sponsored by Fleetwood Windows & Doors and Vesta Home, interior design and home styling company.

Having chaired the event in 2022, Jason Oppenheim and Mary Bonnet are no strangers to celebrating the best in the industry. This year, Oppenheim returns as host, continuing the legacy from last year's host, Mauricio Umansky, to honor the best of L.A. real estate. With their charismatic presence and extensive knowledge, Oppenheim and Bonnet are set to bring dynamism to the awards ceremony.

The event will spotlight achievements across six competitive categories, as The Hollywood Reporter editors, known for their discerning eye for luxury properties, evaluate nominees based on total sales, inventory prestige, and industry stature. The evening promises excitement as notable names in real estate gather to celebrate their collective accomplishments.

The L.A. Team of the Year Award, anchored by Aaron Kirman of AKG Christie’s International Real Estate, recognizes his exemplary knowledge and unparalleled sales record in the luxury market. Additionally, the Philanthropic Impact Award will honor Linda May for her contributions beyond real estate, highlighting her philanthropy and community service efforts.

Nominee lists span various categories, including Agent of Historic Architecture, which features leading agents and teams known for handling architecturally significant properties. Nominees like the Altman Brothers Team, Jade Mills, and Smith & Berg Partners have showcased their prowess in managing historical homes and exceptional designs. The Condo Sale of the Year category will recognize agents excelling in the competitive condo market, with nominees such as James Harris & David Parnes and Ginger Glass, illustrating the L.A. real estate market's strength.

The Media Maverick Award will acknowledge agents who have effectively utilized media to enhance their brand and reach. Nominees include Million Dollar Listing’s Josh Flagg, Jordan Cohen, and Selling Sunset’s Tracy Tutor, who have broadened their influence through innovative media strategies.

The Stratospheric Sale category honors agents like James Harris & David Parnes and Kurt Rappaport, known for closing remarkable sales of A-list properties. In the Rising Star category, six standout nominees, including Brendan Brown and Ryan Jancula, represent the promising future of luxury real estate.

Lastly, the Celebrity Property Portfolio category showcases agents like Cindy Ambuehl and Santiago Arana, who have successfully managed unique celebrity transactions amidst public scrutiny. As the L.A.
